Update on cloth diapering a newborn

So miss Mollie will be four weeks old tomorrow and we are still doing great at not using sposie diapers, I have found that i wish i had more thirsties duo's in my stash , they seem to hold in the breastfed poopies the best and are the least bulky.second would be my fuzzi bunz size small cause of the lack of bulk i LOVE the rumparooz but they are SO bulky she looks like she belong on the "i like big butts video.'..lol.. I have to do laundry everyday cause i have such a small stash of nb diapers i have snapped down a few bg 4.o's but they leak if she goes alot cause her little legs are so small and the xs ad small thirties covers wont go over them. I like the thirsties covers with flip inserts but when she poops she always gets it on the cover so i can never get more than one use outta them before they end up in my wetbag. Thank goodness for my planet wise wet bag i have one small and two large and i love them, I have been tossing my diapers, cloth nursing pads and the washcloths i use as wipes all in the same load of laundry. It works well .

cloth diapering a newborn in the hospital

well last tuesday we welcomed baby #6 a little girl we named mollie. She is the fourth cloth diapered baby  in our family. With her I want to start diapering from the start so when i packed my hospital bag i packed up all my new born sized diapers. My newborn stash was this. 2 rumparooz, 1 swaddlebee's newborn, and several thirsties duo's size one diapers and covers.and several xsmall thirsties covers and bumgeius newborn inserts and a few bum genuis 4.0 one sized diapers. I found that at 8 lbs that they were all a bit bulky but they all kept in the mess. My favorite was anything with  velco cause she is very squirmy. She hates diaper changes and screams the whole time so the faster I could finish the better.None of them leaked but I think my personal favs were the thirties duo size one diapers they were the trimest and easiest to put on and came the cleanest.

This week has been one of the best weeks ever. We had our little girl miss Mollie Edith Grace on tuesday and we have been spoiling..i mean enjoying her ever since. I knew I loved my soon to be husband but after seeing him with our daughter I love him so much more. He is the most wonderful daddy.. he is the type of daddy you dream about your children having when you are little girl and have not all those fanities shattered by reality. He is completely supportive off the breastfeed, clothdiapering (wait a minute maybe that is cleaver way to dodge diaper duty)..nahh.. baby wearing crazy lady i have become. For some reason so far she has been such a good baby. the first night home from the hospital she slept from 10 pm till 3 am when I WOKE her up to feed her cause i literally thougth my boobs were gonna explode and then her second night home we stayed up till about midnight she went to sleep and slept to five when she woke up and wanted to eat.. she only fusses when she is hungry , dirty or gassy.here is a pic of the angel
